Trump Turnberry

Turnberry

Located on the captivating Ayrshire coast and immersed in history, Trump Turnberry has been an iconic landmark on Scotland’s coastline since 1906.

Trump Turnberry is a world-renowned bucket list golf destination. The resort boasts two 18-hole golf courses: The Ailsa, host of four Open Championships and the magnificent King Robert the Bruce. The resort contains a 9-hole course and Golf Academy, where you can fine tune your game, and a landscaped 18 hole putting course, for those final touches before beginning your round. The Martin Ebert designed short game practice course and range targeted on Turnberry Point Lighthouse are incomparable.

The Ailsa is one of the world’s most loved golf courses and has had the privilege of hosting the Open Championship four times, including the unforgettable 1977 'Duel in the Sun'. Since acquiring the resort in 2014, The Trump Organization and famed golf course architects Mackenzie & Ebert have completed a meticulous historic study and modern-day review of The Ailsa, and have subsequently made subtle changes to the course, fine-tuning this masterpiece.

In 2017, Trump Turnberry unveiled a new golfing experience on the Ayrshire coast, the magnificent King Robert the Bruce course inspired by the name and spirit of the King of Scots, who freed Scotland from English rule in the 14th century. At 7,203 yards and a par-72, King Robert the Bruce features spectacular views of Turnberry’s stunning coastline, castle ruins and, of course, the lighthouse.

Created in the grand style during the early years of the 20th century, Trump Turnberry is one of Scotland's national treasures. As you approach the resort, miles of glorious coastline give way to the familiar soft green of the world-famous golf courses. The Spa at Turnberry offers an oasis of pure relaxation, perfect for enjoying treatments that soothe and refresh both body and mind. At the heart of the Spa is a 65-foot heated infinity pool where guests can enjoy the spectacular views of Ailsa Craig and the Isle of Arran. Overlooking the championship golf courses and beyond, a selection of restaurants and bars operate throughout the resort. The signature restaurant at Trump Turnberry, '1906', is named after the year the hotel opened. With service beginning every evening at 19.06 (Don’t be late), it offers a menu full of classic dishes prepared using locally sourced ingredients.

The resort offers a large selection of accommodation, including guest rooms, family rooms, signature suites and villas, which are exceptionally designed in every way. The Lighthouse suite is the jewel in a very impressive crown. This absolutely unique 2-bedroom suite, set within The Turnberry Point Lighthouse, is lavishly furnished with an extensive private terrace for the enjoyment of al fresco dining or drinks, or simply to contemplate one of the world’s most iconic views. The lighthouse, which was built by the family of celebrated Scottish author, Robert Louis Stevenson, (The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. & Treasure Island.) is situated amongst the ruins of Turnberry Castle. It was within this medieval castle that King Robert the Bruce was born, in July 1274.
