The Smuggler's Swing: Silloth, Southerness, Dumfries & County and Carlisle G. C.
Thank you so much for organising the trip. It was our 4th annual golf trip and unanimously the best so far. Courses superb! We played Southerness on day 1 in 40mph winds and torrential rain. Despite that it was a great course and a “proper” Scottish challenge. Dumfries and County was a traditional parkland course in perfect condition. Then Silloth. What a course! Absolutely stunning and a joy to play. You truly have to think about every shot. Not easy at all but a privilege to play. Carlisle, our last minute addition. I’m not sure what Powfoot is like but it would have to be good to beat Carlisle. Beautiful holes to look at and to play. A great way to round off the trip. The Cairndale Hotel: a perfect base with friendly staff and a lovely room. The breakfast was substantial and ideal to load up for the day ahead. The bar was very nice and well stocked! We had the Dinner option included. The food was very nice. My only minor issue was that we were on a set menu with quite limited choice. Organisation: spot on. You asked all the right questions to provide us with a spectacular 4 days of golf and accommodation. It was exactly what we were looking for and would never have found by ourselves. The communication throughout was excellent. You went above and beyond to get us a round at Carlisle on the last morning when Powfoot closed at short notice. That made such a difference as not playing a final round would have been a bit of a damp squib to end the week. Thank you for the voucher. We will definitely be back. We are thinking of a similar trip in June 2026. Monday to Thursday again. Very happy to be guided by you especially if you can match the hotel and courses of Dumfries and Galloway. Thank you again from 3 very happy golfers!

Moray - Old & New
The golf courses provided a formidable links challenge, and both courses were in great condition. Really grateful for your organising, support throughout and looking forward to doing it all again next year.

Ayrshire & Dumfriesshire - Self Drive Tour: Turnberry (Ailsa), Royal Troon (Old), Prestwick G. C., Dundonald Links & Southerness G. C.
Scottish Golf Breaks have been excellent. George was very helpful throughout the process and knows his golf. Turnberry, just awesome. Beautiful to the eye, in great condition with excellent greens. Every hole is a picture. Four experienced and well travelled golfers who all agreed it is the best course we have ever experienced. Royal Troon, a must do for any golfer. In wonderful condition, we played in great weather conditions and all played really well. Prestwick is one you feel you must experience once in your life due to the history. Enjoyable course that was in great condition with good greens. Dundonald, great course and best value for money destination. In great condition, a lovely course that punishes you if you stray but not too harshly as balls can be found. Good food and great fun staff in the clubhouse. Southerness, a tough and tight course that was in good condition. The Cairndale Hotel was great value for money. Excellent staff who were very attentive. Western House was equally excellent value for money. Nice and clean with good rooms and breakfast. We would use this hotel again. Everything went to plan and we all had an excellent visit to Scotland. I will come back to Scottish Golf Breaks in the future.

All the courses were top class and everyone treated us very well and made us feel most welcome. Thanks again for all your organisation and making it an enjoyable stress free break.

Twa big Machs (Machrihanish Championship & Machrihanish Dunes)
The Twa Big Macs are the tastiest meal you will ever have. When blessed with the Scottish sunshine, this is the most beautiful place on Earth with only the skylarks and the waves to disturb the little piece of heaven. The courses are demanding but exciting and fair and would strongly recommend playing more than once, so the shots at sight markers become much less concerning. We were lucky enough to play Pebble Beach and Spanish Bay last year and were told by staff there that they are like Scotland (hence bagpipers at Spanish Bay) and I stood on Mac Dunes looking at the miles of white sand beach and though that yes indeed they are right…this place is every bit as good as those giants in California. I suspect not all of you will have the weather we enjoyed, but that is what creates the challenge, but don’t worry an extra tattie scone at breakfast will sort you out no matter the weather! Enjoy it folks, it is a true delight!
