Established in 1894, Alyth Golf Club is home to one of Scotland’s finest inland, heathland courses. Combining a rich golfing heritage, with an enjoyable challenge for players of all abilities. The original nine holes were designed by the legendary Old Tom Morris of St Andrews, with the course extended to a full 18 holes by another renowned architect, James Braid, in 1934. Their combined influence has created a classic layout that remains highly regarded today.
Measuring 6,264 yards, the par-70 course winds through mature pines, silver birch and heather, with tree-lined fairways and gently rolling terrain, placing a premium on accuracy as well as length. The peaceful setting allows golfers to enjoy the natural surroundings while tackling a course that rewards thoughtful shot-making and careful course management.
Visitors can take advantage of excellent practice facilities, including a seven-bay driving range, putting and chipping greens.. The club also offers buggy and trolley hire, well-equipped changing rooms, and a welcoming clubhouse overlooking the 18th hole. Inside, guests will find a comfortable lounge, bar and restaurant serving freshly prepared food in a friendly atmosphere.
