East Lothian & The Borders

Scottish Golf Breaks, you excelled yourself on this break! The Apartment in North Berwick was perfect and a short walk to pubs and restaurants. The standard of the accommodation was excellent. North Berwick is beautiful and we really enjoyed it. We got extremely lucky with the weather. I’d been watching the forecast for the last week and thought we would get some showers. The first 3 days were stunning and we’ve all come back with tans! We had 3 holes of light rain and a hail storm at Dunbar. Even Goswick yesterday didn’t get worse than a very light drizzle and the wind was sufficient to be challenging, without being too difficult. We loved all 4 courses. They are all different and present their own challenges. Richard started really very well at Eyemouth which was his favourite course. If pushed I’d probably say Dunbar was my favourite with The Glen a close second. Goswick was a proper challenge and tougher than the others. The true links golf suited me well. We felt it was the “best” course and similar to Silloth last year. I’m already really interested in what other options we might have for next year.

Perthshire, Edinburgh & Northumberland, Self - Drive Tour

The trip was very successful and thank you as all the arrangements worked very well. At Blairgowrie, we played the Wee Course, which was a good challenge, and The Rosemount, an excellent course with great variability and attractive to play through trees with fair fairways. Weather good. A top course, with great facilities, a classy clubhouse, and a great welcome. The Starter (Frank) was a real bonus. We then played Monifieth ‘Medal Course’. A pure links, which was in good condition. The food in the clubhouse was excellent. Our next course was Alyth. A gem, with a good range of holes and we really enjoyed it. From Perth we then travelled to Edinburgh and played at Braid Hills. It had a quirky mixture of holes – some a bit too quirky. Although it was in great shape for a municipal course and we received a nice reception. Our final course played was Goswick Links. We received a good welcome and the warm up facilities on the range were good too. It’s an excellent links course, with a good variety of holes and challenges. We stayed in The Town House, Perth. It was excellent accommodation. David’s attention to detail, in looking after guests and presenting the rooms was exemplary. The breakfast was very special and the parking was easy. 5 – star.

Eyemouth Golf Club & Goswick Links

Both Eyemouth and Goswick are fantastic courses and were in great condition. Lovely clubhouses, staff, food and drink at both courses. Hotel was great too. We had the upstairs flats so had a private corridor with two rooms and bathroom, was perfect for our needs. Overall it was a fantastic trip. Thanks again, and hopefully will be in touch again next year.

Scottish & English Border Reivers: Eyemouth, Bamburgh Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle & Goswick

Well, we had an absolutely brilliant time away and the weather was great. The four golf courses were amazing, our favourite was Bamburgh Castle. The sun was splitting the sky that day and hardly a breath of wind. Doxford Hall Hotel was lovely and the customer service was excellent. We both want to thank you so much for booking this holiday for my “special” birthday. Your guidance and advice throughout the booking process was superb and we will definitely book future golf holidays through Scottish Golf Breaks. Your knowledge of the courses was very helpful and the options you provided were flexible and adaptable to our requests.

Goswick & Eyemouth

Goswick and Eyemouth were both amazing courses. Goswick was tough with the wind, Eyemouth was spectacular and we would play both courses again. We will definitely be back in touch for our next golfing break.
