East Lothian & The Borders

Scottish Golf Breaks, you excelled yourself on this break! The Apartment in North Berwick was perfect and a short walk to pubs and restaurants. The standard of the accommodation was excellent. North Berwick is beautiful and we really enjoyed it. We got extremely lucky with the weather. I’d been watching the forecast for the last week and thought we would get some showers. The first 3 days were stunning and we’ve all come back with tans! We had 3 holes of light rain and a hail storm at Dunbar. Even Goswick yesterday didn’t get worse than a very light drizzle and the wind was sufficient to be challenging, without being too difficult. We loved all 4 courses. They are all different and present their own challenges. Richard started really very well at Eyemouth which was his favourite course. If pushed I’d probably say Dunbar was my favourite with The Glen a close second. Goswick was a proper challenge and tougher than the others. The true links golf suited me well. We felt it was the “best” course and similar to Silloth last year. I’m already really interested in what other options we might have for next year.

Scottish & English Border Reivers: Eyemouth, Bamburgh Castle, Duns G. C. & Glen G. C.

The Marshall Meadows Hotel was excellent, rooms good and bathroom exceptional. Perfect location for the areas that we chose to play. Didn’t eat in the restaurant at night, but the breakfast was first class. Bamburgh Castle we really enjoyed as a good starter, quirky, good condition and not overly long. The Glen we have played before, but not in 40mp winds! It was in excellent condition again, but, due to the wind, pretty difficult at times. We enjoyed the Duns, but wouldn’t play it again, first 11 holes were really interesting, then it became a bit repetitive. Eyemouth we probably enjoyed the best, really interesting holes, very good condition and food in clubhouse was first class. Thanks again. We’re already looking forward to next year.

East Lothian: The Lodge @ Craigielaw, Craigielaw G. C. & The Glen G. C.

Just returned from our golf trip, a big thank you to SGB for organising a great weekend. The accommodation at Craigielaw Lodge was exemplary, staff couldn’t do enough, setting magnificent and both courses faultless. Got lucky with the weather too.

East Lothian: Nether Abbey Hotel, The Glen G. C. & Craigielaw G. C..

The hotel and staff were fantastic, food great and we were very well looked after especially at the bar. Everyone enjoyed the courses which were both in extremely good condition and again were well looked after by staff. Thanks for your help.

Falkirk, St Andrews & The Glen, North Berwick

Many thanks to all the staff at Scottish Golf Breaks for organising our 7 day break in Falkirk, St Andrews & North Berwick. Everything ran smoothly at all three courses we played, nothing was too much trouble and we have no hesitation in recommending Scottish Golf Breaks. We intend to use them for when we have our next break planned.

East Lothian Tour: Craigielaw, Dunbar, Gullane, The Glen and Kilspindie

The whole group would like to say a big thank you for your ability to take a request and turn it into a golf trip that was exactly like what we had in mind. It ran like clockwork from beginning to end, and if we or other groups from our club want a trip to Scotland we will be recommending Scottish Golf Breaks.

East Lothian - Self Drive Tour: Gullane No1, Eyemouth G. C., Bamburgh Castle G. C. & Glen G. C.

Very impressed with the team at SGB, especially George as nothing was too much trouble for him to sort for us. I highly recommend using them to save yourself hours of research and admin.
